Jeong Jin-kyu (19th), Soyeon Yoon (19th), and Kim Min-jae (20th) of the department of costume at the 5th MDF Fashion Design Contest, where the MD Foundation of the non-profit Scholarship Foundation discovers the next promising designers to lead K-fashion in the global market.
The MDF Fashion Design Contest is the largest fashion design contest in Korea that supports scholarships, and provides about 14 winners with annual tours to overseas exhibitions or up to two years of tuition and living support. The MDF contest has produced fashion designers that are exemplary to students such as Kim Ji-yong of 'Jiyong Kim', who has recently emerged worldwide.
In this contest, Jeong Jin-gyu was selected as a scholarship student and received up to 10 million won per year, while Soyeon Yoon and Kim Min-jae received 5 million won for overseas fashion exhibitions.
The MDF contest consists of the first design portfolio review, the second real production review, the third making test, and in-depth interviews over a total of three months, and the students of the school won the prize with excellent grades through a competition ratio of 10:1.
